It’s not just the Department of Ed being cut, with more money flowing to unaccountable private schools because of vouchers and more money flowing to unaccountable charter schools (and this taxpayer money coming at the expense of public schools, which must, by law, take all comers, the special needs kids, the ELL’s, kids who need more resources to teach and support them, not less), it’s not only cutting WIC and the free lunch programs at the schools.
It’s also about cutting, basically disappearing, the EPA, which will hurt everyone, including our kids and grandkids. Do these people live in a bubble? Do they think they and their families can fly off to Mars on Elon Musk’s spaceship when they have crapped up our environment, our air, our water?
How about the cuts to scientific research? What, they and their kids don’t get cancer, heart problems, birth defects, etc.? The drug companies and the biotech companies aren’t doing the basic research- they use (for free, to them, because it is published in NIH funded peer-reviewed journals). They won’t do the basic research, which can take years, because it doesn’t promise them a return in the immediate future.
But hey, what the hell do they care, as long as the rich can pay less tax and the military gets more money to kill civilians overseas.
I give up. These people are greedy sociopaths.
Donald Trump apparently would rather kill children in other countries than educate them in ours.
When you make a budget, you betray your priorities.
As Paul Begala said, “The budget is a profoundly moral document. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be.”
So where exactly are Donald Trump’s priorities?
While boosting the military by $54 billion in his 2018 budget, he slashes spending at the U.S. Department of Education by $9.2 billion – the largest cut in the department’s history.
This sad excuse for a man actually proposes that guns and tanks are more important than school children. Perhaps his motto should be “Save the guns! Fuck the children!”
No wonder he obsesses about the size of his hands and literally brags about the size of his genitals on the campaign trial. Can you imagine the infinitesimal pecker you would have to possess to need to brandish phallic…

Just imagine what soon to be cut federal programs we could fund if Melanie and Barron moved to the White House like every previous First Family, thus freeing up multiple millions that are currently being spent on their Security detail in New York. And what if Trump spent some weekends in D.C. . And how much money would be freed up if, like every other First Family, the Trumps declined Secret Servicecprotection for his adult children and their spouses and children?
These are insanely greedy people with concern for no one but themselves.
